MECHANICAL ENGINEERS (for Technelec/Lightbox Qatar)

QUALIFICATIONS:

·          Ability to work on own initiative.

·          Some site supervision/inspections.

·          Experience at Project Engineer level is required.

·          Previous Middle East experienced, is an advantage.

·          With multi-discipline Qatari Consultancy with an expanding work- load.

·          Computer skills a plus including the usage of Auto-CAD for drawing plans

·          To work mainly in a design capacity on varied projects from inception to completion.

·          Liaison with other Engineers in design office for coordination of total services installations.

·          Liaison with offices of the Ministry of Electricity and Water Department for scheme approval.

·          On site supervision of Contractor to ensure compliance with Local Regulations and Contract Specifications.

·          Should be qualified from a recognized University in Mechanical Engineering. Note – NO DIPLOMA IS ACCEPTABLE.

·          Minimum five (5) year experience in HVACs and residential projects.  Ability to design of Air-Conditioning, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting installations for various facilities from individual villas to multi-storied blocks, industrial units and Hospital design.

 Basically the following criteria must be applied while recruiting:

Ø        Must be familiar with AUTOCAD

Ø        Must be familiar with BS Codes and Standard

Ø        Must be University graduate in their respective category

Ø        The candidate must be trade tested through local institution

Ø        It would be advantageous if the candidate has Middle East experience

Ø        Must be familiar with the respective Design program and must be able to carry out calculations by computer generated.

 

 

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS (for Technelec/Lightbox Qatar)

QUALIFICATONS:

·          Low current design

·          High voltage design

·          Medium voltage design

·          Design according to international standards

·          Attending technical meetings using the English language

·          Must be grade A (exam with Qatari Electricity Water Establishment)

·          Must be grade A (interview with Engineering Registration Committee)

·          Computer skills a plus including the usage of Auto-CAD for drawing plans

·          Design and generating drawings and calculations using computer programs

·          Design different types of construction buildings (commercial, residential, hi-rise, etc.)

·          Minimum five (5) ~ seven (7) years preferably in handling residential projects, as well as on-site engineering activities such as hospitals, malls and hotels.

 

AUTO-CAD OPERATORS/TECHNICIANS (for Technelec/Lightbox Qatar)

QUALIFICATIONS:

·          With Electro-Mechanical background/experience (more on electrical)

·          Essential Auto-CAD experience (with 3-D package being an advantage) is a must

 

SECRETARIES (for Technelec/Lightbox Qatar)

QUALIFICATIONS:

·          Minimum three (3) ~ seven (7) years working experience

·          Computer-skilled person, with basic knowledge in bookkeeping/accountancy

 

ELECTRO-MECHANICAL TECHNICIANS (for Technelec/Lightbox Qatar)

QUALIFICATIONS:

·          Hands-on experience on all mechanical & electrical works a must

·          Bachelor / Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering

·          With 5/3 years experience in the Electrical design of Power Transformers of at least 132 kV.

·          The candidate shall prepare detailed Electrical designs based on customer specifications and shall be capable of independently calculating technical parameters, stray losses, impedance, temperature rise, electrical stresses, short circuit forces etc and optimize the designs.

·          Exposure to computerized calculations and standards like IEC 60076 / ANSI C- 57 is essential

Tendering Design Executives

 

SALARY: DHMs 8,000 ~ 9,000 (approx. US$2,178 ~ 2,451) per month (all-inclusive)

·          With 5/3 years experience in Tender design, Preparation of estimates, technical particulars etc relating to Power Transformers of at least 132 kV class

·          Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering

·          With 9+ years experience in Quality control function of a Power Transformer manufacturing unit.

·          The candidate shall be responsible for maintaining the QA/C systems of the company including the Quality control of incoming material, processes, final product and ensuring highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction.

·          Candidate who has successfully completed ISO –9000 lead assessor courses is preferred

Inspection & Testing Managers

·          With 9+ years experience in routine & type  testing of Power Transformers.

·          The incumbent shall be responsible for the factory testing, witness inspection & type testing of  Power

·          Transformers and shall have experience in the testing as per IEC / ANSI standards, including Impulse test, Noise Level Measurement, Temperature Rise Test, FRA, Condition Monitoring etc.
